Mindfulness is life in the present tense. Often our mental energy is focused on regrets or unfortunate experiences in the past or consumed with worries about the future. We drive down the 'what was' highway of the past or the 'what if' highway of the future. When we are not where we are, this is when our mental health will be compromised.

Heartache, abuse, injury, stress, accidents, job loss, trauma, illness are a few of the challenging waves life presents. Often therapy is about helping people find ways to manage these waves and build new capacities to shift from survive to thrive. I believe I do depth psychotherapy briefly. We will work together to create a therapeutic plan and you will be in charge of what new skills you choose to use and those you do not. You are on the playing field of your life. I will provide guidance, support and many resources so you can navigate your life with more hope, belief and resilience.

In addition to Mindfulness Psychotherapy I am trained and have signficant experience with Cognitive BehaviouralTherapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprogamming), Solution - focused, Rogerian, Jungian psychotherapy and Trauma Informed therapies.

I have a particular interest in workng with people who deal with anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, life transitions, and struggle with nightmares and flashbacks.
