Description

Reality can bite, hard. I believe people can learn to bite back - and learn to be nourished. The trouble is, we can develop patterns of relating and being in the world where we remain stuck, no matter how hard we push. With a lifetime of accumulated armour and coping strategies, some having become sources of stress rather than relief, we can become alienated from others and ourselves. This struggle can lead us to feel alone with difficulties, without a sense of hope. Coming out of isolation and into contact with others can be tremendously uncomfortable and profoundly liberating. Therapy is one tool to help with that process.

In therapy with me, our bodies are important sources of information. We create a space together to be with what’s on your mind and heart, and we engage in an exploration of what has been too painful, too elusive, and too uncertain to share. This will improve your ability to make value-aligned choices, make sense of the challenges you face, and feel better.

I am touched by the nuance and complexity of my clients' experiences. I listen for how experience is shaped by how we identify, and how that bears consequences for our lives in wider society. If my profile speaks to you, please feel free to reach out and request an initial consultation. I look forward to meeting you and offering my service.
