The Next Step Counselling

Hello! Although "The Next Step Counselling" is new, I (Debbie) began to provide professional and confidential counselling to couples, families and individuals over twenty years ago, in 2001.

As a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (RMFT), I am trained and experienced in a variety of therapeutic approaches to counselling. Regardless of the therapeutic approach, I am strength based, client centered, compassionate and honest.

Vision

My goal is simple. I want to help you make your life better.

This is done primarily through the lens of relationship. This may mean improving your relationship with yourself, or your relationship to the people, situations, or issues that surround you.

In my work with clients, I value humanity, dignity, integrity and meaning.

These values lead to an open, accepting space for you to self reflect and consider new perspectives, and also guidance to recognize or strengthen the connection between your own personal values and choices to help you find the path to your best life.

Venue

Sessions can be attended in person, by telephone or virtually through a secure link. The option of outside "walk & talk" therapy may also be available, please ask about this option if you are curious or interested.
