As a second-generation mixed-race Canadian, I bring an inclusive, open-minded and anti-oppressive perspective to my work. When I was going through a hard time in my life after losing my father to cancer and developing chronic back pain, I wasn�t able to find a therapist that reflected my lived experience. And that is one of the main reasons that, after I had finally recovered, I decided to become a counsellor - so I could provide that support to others like me, who are looking for a safe space to heal.
