Description

Naturopathic Doctor with a focus on Women's Wellness.

My services & areas of focus:

Naturopathic Consultations:

Consultations are your chance to get your concerns heard, questions answered, and for us to get your solution started. It’s an opportunity to discuss your health concerns and goals openly. We'll review your health history and your options for treatment. Lab testing will be recommended, if needed. We'll establish your plan for ongoing care.

Lab Testing & Diagnostics :

Testing allows us to take the guesswork out of your treatment plan. As naturopathic doctors, we commonly use similar tests to your medical doctor including blood work. We may also look at some more nuanced factors contributing to your physiology such as food sensitivity testing, hormonal analysis, immune markers, and more.

Therapeutic Nutrition :

What we put on our plates on a daily basis has profound impact on our health. Therapeutic nutrition not only corrects nutritional deficiencies, but takes into account which foods have evidence for providing benefit in various conditions. Addressing your nutrition will often be the first action we take, setting the foundation for optimal health.

Autoimmune Support :

Autoimmune disease develops when the immune system targets a component of your body's own cells as a foreign invader and causes destruction or dysregulation. This self-sabotage by the immune system can be caused by numerous triggers such as previous infection, chronic inflammation, and genetic predisposition. I help rebalance the immune system through identifying and removing triggers, supporting the tissues that are under attack, and suppressing the overzealous immune response all while promoting the immune system to regain proper control.

Women’s Health :

The needs of women are complex, nuanced, and change with each stage of life. From painful periods and PMS to perinatal concerns, postnatal challenges, and menopause — the concerns of women deserve real investigation and attention. This often involves identifying hormonal imbalances and supporting the body through options like nutrition, herbs, bioidentical hormone therapy or acupuncture.

Acupuncture :

Acupuncture is a centuries old practice that effects the nervous and sensory systems. Acupuncture can be used for a wide variety of reasons including to regulate digestion, promote fertility, and improve stress resilience. I commonly use acupuncture as an additional tool alongside your comprehensive health plan, as it impacts your physiology on a different level. Many patients find it extremely relaxing and a valuable self-care tool.

Vitamin Injections:

Vitamin injections are an alternative to oral supplementation, especially if nutrient levels are quite depleted or if absorption through the GI tract is impaired. Injections of Vitamin D, Vitamin B12 and other nutrients may be included in your treatment plan to omptimize energy levels, immune function, and overall wellbeing.

IV Therapy :

IV (intravenous) therapy is a method of delivering high doses of nutrients directly to your bloodstream. This bypasses absorption in the gastrointestinal tract (which may not always be functioning optimally) and allows us to provide cells with a much higher concentration of nutrients than we can achieve through months of oral supplementation. What goes in an IV is based on a patient’s individual concerns and goals of therapy. IV therapy may help with energy, stress resilience, immunity, nutritional status, and recovery from strenuous exercise.
