Hello, I'm Camille. I am a wife and mother in a (mostly) unschooling neurodiverse family where I have learned the healing power of play and connection, the necessity of emotion regulation and healing from trauma, and unconditional acceptance, love, and compassion.
In my work as a counsellor I am integrative and holistic, coming alongside clients to facilitate growth in these key areas of life. I tailor sessions to the unique needs of each client and support the achievement of client-identified goals. I draw from the principles of Dr. Greene's Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) Model, Attachment Theory, Brainspotting, Anti-Oppressive and Empowerment Theory, Inner Child Work, Creative/Expressive Interventions, Mindfulness, Family Systems Theory, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Polyvagal Theory, the Bio-psycho-social Approach, and more.
I support individuals seeking greater balance, improved mental health, and self-awareness, self-understanding, and self-acceptance of potential neurodivergence (i.e., ADHD, Autism, etc.). I incorporate trauma integration and processing using Brainspotting.
I support parents and educators of young children to:
- Develop compassionate and evidence-informed caring practices
- Recognize and celebrate human diversity and embrace the mutual process of learning that is inherent in the parent-child relationship,
- Understand and work with differently-wired kids (i.e., autism, demand avoidance/PDA, ADHD, ODD, DMDD, anxiety, sensory processing differences, etc.), and
- Engage in emotion regulation and life-giving self-care to prevent and recover from compassion fatigue, burnout, trauma, and deteriorating mental health.
