Description
As a Registered Psychologist, one of my main objectives for therapy is to form strong working relationships with my clients so that we can work together to accomplish therapeutic goals. I know from experience and research, that the connection that exists between a client and therapist is vital for success in counselling, which is why I treat clients like people, not a list of symptoms. I provide counselling services to children, youth, and adults, in personal, couples, and family settings. I am a person-centered psychologist and I work from cognitive behavioural, ACT, solution-focused, mindfulness, and client-centered frameworks.
Some of my areas of focus include, but are not limited to:
ADHD
Addiction
Anger Management
Anxiety
Behavioural Issues
Bipolar Disorder
Depression
Family Conflict
Grief
Life Transitions
Men’s Issues
Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD)
Parenting
Relationship Issues
Self Esteem
Sexual Addiction
Sleep or Insomnia
Spirituality
Stress
Suicidal Ideation
Trauma and PTSD
I provide a non-judgmental environment that is strongly supportive of growth and change, while engaging with clients in a genuine way through compassion, empathy and humour. I am motivated to work with clients to achieve shared goals, while developing tools and skills that lead to lasting success.
It takes a lot of courage to reach out. It can feel intimidating, but as you take this first step by sending an email or making a call, you’re moving one step closer to where you want to go and who you want to be. And I will do everything I can to make the appointment as un-intimidating and comfortable as possible.
