I work with the belief that we all share a common emotional experience despite the differences in the way we choose to express this. We are also hard-wired to be closely connected by relationships that fulfill and sustain us. At times, we will be challenged to look at ourselves, to grow and change as we strengthen and deepen our relationships. Depending on how the challenge is presented to us, we may feel angry, anxious, confused and at a loss for what to do.
My practice is collaborative and respectful, without judgment or bias toward gender, race, culture and sexual orientation. I integrate emotion and solution focused therapy with cognitive and experiential approaches to help my clients understand the emotions and beliefs that influence behaviour and make changes that promote greater self-understanding, resolve issues, and create healthier and more satisfying relationships.
