Description

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Therapy can seem intimidating, but it is an important step toward better mental health that affects every aspect of our lives. It takes strength, courage and commitment to acknowledge that there are parts of yourself and your life that you would like to change. This may include concerns about self-worth, depression, anxiety, isolation, relationships and work. I can help you to gain a greater understanding of yourself, your experiences and how contexts have shaped these experiences. Together, we can examine how you developed behaviours that were useful in the past, but are not anymore and which ones would be helpful now.

I have completed Master's degrees in Applied Social Psychology and Counselling Psychology, which have given me extensive knowledge in how to identify, understand and treat mental health concerns. Treatment can help to improve your mood, develop healthy self-worth, better your relationships and feel confident in your ability to cope with challenges.

I work with clients in a way that is supportive, authentic and collaborative. Although therapy can be difficult, I find one of the ways to make it more comfortable is to know that it’s okay to laugh and find humour in it. I use creativity to adapt therapies to suit your needs and flexibility in trying strategies until we find the ones that work for you.

I offer a free consultation where we can discuss the concerns that are bringing you to therapy and see if we are the right fit to work together.
