The Lighthouse Retreat Inc.

The Lighthouse Retreat Inc., is a private corporation operating in Ajax Ontario. It was incorporated in 2013. We provide a range of services for Seniors within Ajax and the surrounding cities. These services include:

1. 24 hrs homecare Agency: clients are assessed by a Registered Nurse and a care plan is designed to meet the needs of the individual. We make every effort to make a professional compatibility match between client and staff. Personal Support Workers (PSW’s) provide care in your home, hospital, nursing home, or wherever the services are needed. Care includes grooming, dressing, bathing, transferring in and out of bed, bed care, medication compliance, light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship and more.

2. Seniors Day Program: Seniors in Ajax and the surrounding community have a place to socialize with their cohorts and be cognitively stimulated in an enrichment program from Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The program is facilitated by qualified staff including PSWs, Activation Coordinator and Nurse. Seniors participate in multiple activities daily including but not limited to: Memory games, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Exercise, Shuffle Board, Trip, intergenerational interaction between the seniors and children in the JK/SK class at a local school and more. Clients are provided 2 snacks and a nutritious lunch daily. Transportation can be arranged for an additional fee.
