Description

We are committed to providing convenient, affordable and accessible mental health services.

Although the conversation around mental health has evolved within the past decade, healthcare disparities within the private mental health sector endure. Aworie Canada is a social enterprise that focuses on mental health equity and promotion for marginalized Canadians. Our system integrates psychotherapeutic treatment and wellness pathways, using modern evidence-based clinical approaches. Unlike other clinics across North America, low-cost counselling service do not equate to low-quality service at Aworie.

If you are a marginalized individual looking for an experienced and educated therapist who can think critically about health disparities and systemic oppression, Aworie may be a great match for you. Our team covers a range of specialities and modalities, treating everything from depression and anxiety to more specialized situations such as divorce and grief.

Aworie currently receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from clients. Clients can rely on Aworie`s therapists to provide evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as, CBT, DBT, EFT, and more. Aworie aims to address every element of the client experience so that clients are encouraged to take a proactive approach to holistic health and wellbeing.

About us:

Aworie Canada is an organization that strives to cover a portion of the cost of private mental health counselling for disadvantaged populations in Ontario who experience economic barriers and/or do not have an extended healthcare insurance plan.

Currently, the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) does not cover the costs of psychotherapy; thus, we aim to fill the gap in mental health care by collecting funds from grants and fundraising campaigns to subsidize costs for our target clients.

Aworie Canada was inspired to launch due to the growing concerns individuals had regarding their finances during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
