Description

How are you doing these days as the world restarts during Covid-19? Currently you may feel as if you are in a place of hopelessness, depression, experiencing feelings of being overwhelmed with few resources to draw upon for help. Collaborative through counselling and/or art therapy we can explore and rediscover your internal resources finding your inner resilience and strength; exploring answers to your feelings, inner turmoil and questions. Answers you might seek are how do I deal with the pit in my stomach, or why do I feel so anxious all the time and why can’t I sleep through the night; what is my body trying to tell me?

Often the critical voice in our head holds us back and feelings of spinning round and round arise causing us to feel stuck as we relive the uncomfortable feelings repeatedly. I draw on several psychological theories including dialectical behavioral therapy, emotion-focused therapy, humanistic, and trauma-informed approaches.

Finding ways to explore and resolve your concerns, behaviours and fears relies on developing therapeutic trust and empathy. My goal in therapy is to create a warm, client-centered focus that respects your inner turmoil and supports you in finding ways to express your pain and fear in a positive resilient way that harnesses your inner capacity for growth.
