With 35 years of experience in social work, community services, child welfare, clinical psychology, and counselling, I have expertise in mental health, addiction, child welfare, cultural safety, 2SLGBTQI, and EFAP. I have received training under the BC Provincial Health Authority and Health Canada. While in private practice, I have also been working as a clinical counselor for mental health and addiction with Northern Health, helping patients overcome mental health and addiction challenges.
I have a combined 35 years of experience in social work, community services, child welfare, clinical psychology, and counselling in Canada and Bangladesh. I graduated with an MSW degree from Ryerson University, Ontario, in 2016. I obtained a BSW from Ryerson University in 2013 and a BA from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, in 1981.
I have received intense training under the BC Provincial Health Authority and Health Canada on mental health, addiction, cultural safety, 2SLGBTQI inclusion, and EFAP. I help clients overcome mental health and addiction issues, such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and PTSD, and meet their psychological needs. In additon, I have also been working as a clinical counsellor with Northern Health, helping patients overcome mental health or addiction challenges.
