Massage specialties and techniques include dynamic cupping, TMJ, deep tissue, myofascial release, and applied reflexology for massage therapy. Other services include chair massages at events or wellness days.
About Lorel Hammerstad, RMT, Certified Reflexologist:
As an age group triathlete and marathon runner for over 13 years and an extensive history working at an ergonomics consulting firm, Lorel developed a strong understanding of human anatomy, common overuse injuries, and general stress reduction techniques. This eventually ignited her passion for massage therapy and a desire to help others become healthier and happier.
Lorel graduated from MH Vicar`s 2200 hour program and has certification in Dynamic Cupping, Applied Reflexology for Massage Therapy, Event/Sport Massage and is also a Certified Reflexologist. Other skills include chair massage, geriatric massage, TMJD, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and techniques such as joint play and passive stretching to improve range of motion and joint flexibility. Her approach to both massage and reflexology is combining relaxation with therapeutic massage to calm the nervous system and facilitate healing. Lorel is a full member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada.
In her spare time, she enjoys nature and staying fit through hiking, trail running, multisport, golf and yoga.

PHILOSOPHY:
Balance in life is everything and key to health and happiness.
The mind and body work together and if one is out of sync, it directly affects the other. A busy, stressed out and anxious mind can cause muscle tension or prevent proper healing from injury. Alternatively, tense muscles and achy joints negatively affect a person`s mental state and interfere with a good night`s sleep. When we are in a state of chronic fight or flight, no amount of any type of therapy will ease pain and speed up recovery.
Zenergistic`s approach to massage and reflexology is to combine a variety of techniques and modalities to ease the mind and body for a successful outcome.
