Work in Progress: Mental Health Collective in Toronto, Ontario

Work in Progress is a Toronto-based mental health collective dedicated to fostering community, inclusivity, respect, and safety. We provide general and specialized psychotherapy and counseling services both online and in-person for adults, children, and adolescents.

Our therapeutic services are characterized by:

  1. Person-centered and non-judgmental care
  2. Trauma-informed practices
  3. Anti-racist and anti-oppressive approaches
  4. Gender-affirming support
  5. Body-positive and body-neutral perspectives
  6. Sex-positive and harm-reducing methodologies
  7. Responsiveness to individual lived experiences, including oppression and marginalization
  8. Awareness of the power dynamics within the therapist-client relationship
  9. LGBTQQIP2SAA inclusivity
  10. Accessibility for individuals living with disabilities (note: our office space has stairs, making it not physically accessible)

Work in Progress aims to address human suffering, combat the corporatization of mental wellness, challenge stigma in mental health, and eliminate long waitlists. Our team is skilled in various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, exposure therapy, and narrative therapy. We have specialists in eating disorders, childhood trauma, domestic violence, career-related concerns, Bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, and more.
