Building Connections Counselling and Coaching in Vancouver, British Columbia

Life can be challenging, and it’s essential to have the right support. Many women, however, feel guilty about prioritizing their own needs, often placing others’ comfort before their own. You may find yourself being overly critical or struggling with relationship issues, life transitions, or overwhelming emotions such as anxiety, anger, or shame. You might also be questioning your identity and direction, asking yourself, “Who am I?” or “Is this the life I truly want?” It’s important to know that you don’t have to navigate these challenges alone.

As a Registered Social Worker, I offer a warm, supportive environment where you can openly express your thoughts and feelings. Together, we’ll explore your experiences and create personalized counselling goals to help you:

  • Manage challenging emotions like anxiety or anger
  • Reevaluate your personal goals and aspirations
  • Build self-esteem and confidence
  • Identify and communicate your needs effectively
  • Cultivate balance and deeper connections in your relationships
  • Achieve a sense of relaxation, confidence, and authenticity in being yourself

Hi, I’m Anna

Living and working in seven different countries has given me a deep understanding of how difficult life transitions can be, especially for women facing these challenges alone.

As women, we often strive for perfection, placing others’ needs before our own and forgetting to take care of ourselves. In my experience, this can lead to stress, anxiety, and a loss of personal identity. I am passionate about supporting women to prioritize their well-being and rediscover their true selves during demanding life circumstances.

I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW BSW), originally from Austria, where I completed my training at the Management Centre Innsbruck in 2009. I am registered with the BC College of Social Workers, the ON College of Social Workers, and the AB College of Social Workers, as well as the BC Association of Social Workers. These institutions ensure high standards of practice, ethical behavior, and quality assurance in social work.

With over a decade of experience in various social work settings, I launched my private practice in 2021. My goal is to provide compassionate, client-centered counselling for women navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional well-being.

To maintain a high standard of care, I continually expand my knowledge through ongoing education, workshops, seminars, and clinical supervision. In 2022, I earned my Certified Professional Coach (CPC) certification through an ICF-accredited coaching program, further enhancing my ability to guide women in building confidence and taking control of their lives.
