Understanding Grief

Grief is a natural reaction to significant loss and often triggers painful emotions. Each individual’s grieving process is unique and can vary across families, cultures, and religions. While some may express their sorrow openly, others may choose to grieve privately.

About Us

We recognize that there are varying levels of grief, including unresolved grief. According to the National Association for Mental Health in the UK, certain factors can complicate the grieving process, such as:

  • Sudden or unexpected deaths, including suicide
  • Multiple deaths occurring simultaneously (e.g., accidents, natural disasters)
  • The death of an absent or estranged family member
  • Miscarriage or loss of a baby
  • Missing persons or unclear circumstances of death
  • Lack of community or familial support
  • Unresolved issues with the deceased
  • Inability to attend funerals or the absence of a funeral
  • Situations where the bereaved may feel responsible for the death
