Under a Tree Therapy in Toronto, Ontario – Online Therapy Services
Compassionate and effective therapy can be provided from virtually anywhere, not necessarily requiring elaborate settings or facilities. The essential elements for healing emotional wounds are safety, being seen, and being heard. Regardless of where we start, understanding who we are and who we want to be is vital. Even when feeling stuck, we have the capacity for growth and change, often with the right support to guide us.
Hello, I’m Desmond Lee, a registered social worker offering online psychotherapy services for individuals and couples (ages 18+). With over 10 years of clinical and community experience, including five years at a Toronto community health center, I have expertise in psychotherapy, advocacy, and community engagement with diverse populations. My previous experience spans chronic mental health, addictions, youth services, and the shelter system.
My therapeutic approach is relational, intersectional, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed, integrating models such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). These methods allow me to work collaboratively with clients to address personal and relational challenges, fostering a space for healing, transformation, and self-discovery.
