The Lighthouse Retreat Inc., a private corporation established in 2013 and located in Ajax, Ontario, specializes in providing comprehensive services for seniors in Ajax and the surrounding areas. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for seniors through personalized care and community engagement.

Our 24-Hour Homecare Agency offers customized care plans designed by a Registered Nurse to meet each client’s unique needs. We prioritize matching clients with compatible Personal Support Workers (PSWs) who deliver a range of services, including grooming, dressing, bathing, bed care, medication management, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship. Our homecare services extend to clients’ homes, hospitals, nursing homes, or any location where support is needed.

In addition, our Seniors Day Program provides a vibrant environment for seniors to socialize and engage in cognitive enrichment from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This program, led by a team of qualified staff including PSWs, an Activation Coordinator, and a Nurse, features a diverse array of daily activities such as memory games, music therapy, art therapy, exercise, shuffleboard, and intergenerational interactions with local schoolchildren. Participants enjoy two snacks and a nutritious lunch daily, and transportation can be arranged for an additional fee.
