Hi. I’m Laura Boyko.,

For 20 years I have worked with individuals with a variety of concerns such as mental health, relationships, and challenging life circumstances in a variety of environments such as community-based care, hospital and postsecondary education. I enjoy supporting people as they manage life transitions and set new goals. I invite couples to reignite their love for each other through a respectful and collaborative process. I engage with families who are traversing through stages of change with empathy and active listening.

My expertise in areas such as mental health, addictions, relationships (i.e. communication and conflict resolution), grief/loss, and employment transitions will hopefully match a challenge that you are currently facing.

Whatever may be testing you right now, know that you are not alone. I am glad you are taking this step to care for your mental health and be your very best version of you.

I am a registered social worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and I have a Master of Social Work from York University. I am a certified Life & Wellness Coach(ACC) through the International Coaching Federation. I am a lifelong learner and take every opportunity to learn about others, new counselling approaches and the world around me. I have developed skills in couples therapy, different modalities of therapeutic interventions, as well as leadership-based training such as teamwork, executive presence, and strategic planning. I continue to strive to improve my practice and skills through regular engagement in courses, podcasts and webinars as education doesn’t always happen through formal academic means.

Outside of providing therapy to my amazing clients, I am married to my husband and partner in life and mother to two daughters. I give back to my community by volunteering on the Board of a local community health centre and as a trainer on my daughter’s hockey team. I love to play volleyball and walk with my Australian Sheppard, Sadie.
