Meet Stacey Bjornstad, Registered Psychologist for Mental Health & Personal Growth

Hello, I’m Stacey Bjornstad, a Registered Psychologist (License #7588) in Edmonton, Alberta, with years of experience helping individuals overcome mental health challenges and achieve personal growth. As a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists, the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta, and the Canadian Psychological Association, I am committed to providing the highest quality of care to my clients.

With nearly 20 years of experience working in human services, including with first responder populations (veterans, police, and military), as well as children in care, I bring a unique background to my therapy practice. My work with diverse and vulnerable populations has equipped me with a deep understanding of the challenges that many individuals face, and I am dedicated to supporting clients in overcoming these struggles.

Training and Specialized Approaches in Therapy

I have received specialized training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a powerful tool for overcoming trauma, and hold certification as a Therapeutic Play Practitioner (TPP) through the Rocky Mountain Play Therapy Institute. I am also a second-year student of Somatic Experiencing, a therapy that focuses on body awareness to heal trauma and stress. This diverse training allows me to integrate various approaches to best support you on your journey to healing and self-discovery.
