Jessica Armstrong Counselling & Psychotherapy Claimed

Jessica Armstrong Counselling & Psychotherapy – Burlington, Ontario

I am Jessica Armstrong, a Registered Psychotherapist based in Burlington, Ontario, specializing in supporting individuals through a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, and life transitions. My practice also focuses on postpartum depression and anxiety, providing dedicated support for new parents from conception to two years post-birth.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Biology from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Behavioural Science program from George Brown College, and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, I bring a comprehensive educational background to my work. I am a member in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Additionally, I am in the process of completing my certification with the Canadian Certified Perinatal Mental Health Certificate Program.

In my therapeutic approach, I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment-based therapy, and Compassion-focused therapy, tailoring my methods to the unique needs of each client. I explore early attachment relationships and address any unmet needs or ruptures, while also utilizing practical tools to help manage symptoms of depression and anxiety. My goal is to foster personal insight and understanding, guiding clients through difficult thoughts and feelings.

My client-centred approach ensures that each session is led by the client’s needs, with me providing reflection, feedback, and a safe space for exploration. If you are seeking support for mental health issues or navigating significant life changes, I invite you to reach out and begin the journey towards greater well-being.
