I am Gabriela Poggi, a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and an active member of the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists (OSRP) and the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society (TPS). With a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires (2011) and a Master’s degree in Bioethics from FLACSO-Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (2021), I bring a rich background in psychoanalytic therapy.
In both Argentina and Canada, my practice has equipped me to support individuals and couples dealing with a range of issues, including emotional distress, immigration challenges, and multicultural adjustments. My approach is deeply rooted in psychoanalytic theory, focusing on exploring unconscious processes to address emotional pain and life difficulties.
Sometimes, we encounter life experiences that lead to suffering, leaving us feeling anxious, sad, or overwhelmed. During such times, therapeutic assistance can offer a safe, supportive environment to delve into these issues. The therapeutic space I provide is designed to help you access the root causes of your difficulties, rather than merely addressing external symptoms. In our sessions, I will offer a non-judgmental perspective on your past and present choices, helping you explore your thoughts and feelings in depth.
My private practice in Toronto offers services in both English and Spanish, catering to diverse linguistic needs. I work with adults, families, and couples in crisis, and have experience supporting individuals at the end of their lives and families dealing with grief and mourning. Whether you seek brief or long-term treatment, my goal is to assist you in navigating your emotional landscape and making informed decisions about your path forward.
