The Edmonton Hospital Workers Child Care Society operates an early learning and childcare program within the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. As an independent nonprofit organization, we offer dedicated childcare services for children aged 12 months to 6 years, with operating hours from 6:45 am to 5:30 pm.

Our Services

Full-Time Childcare: We currently provide full-time care with 12 spots in our toddler room (ages 12 months to 2.5 years) and 15 spots in our preschool room (ages 2.5 to 5 years).
Short-Term Contingency Care: Limited short-term spaces are available for hospital staff and patient families as needed.

Our Approach

Our childcare program is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach and the philosophy of Magda Gerber. We focus on recognizing and nurturing each child’s unique strengths and interests. Our commitment to individualized care and serving the Glenrose community earned us the 2014 Child Development Professional Awards of Excellence in the Team category.
