Dr. Engin Aras, the lead dentist at Aras Dentistry, brings extensive experience and education to his practice. After graduating from Brookfield High School in Ottawa, ON, Dr. Aras earned his DDS from the School of Dentistry in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1970. He completed his M.Sc.D. and Ph.D. in Prosthodontics and Maxillofacial Prosthetics at the University of Montpellier, France, where he specialized in prosthetic rehabilitation of cancer surgery defects, post-traumatic defects, and cleft palate deformities.

Dr. Aras’s professional journey includes additional training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Basel, Switzerland, and a DDS from Columbia University, New York, USA, in 2003. He has taught and practiced Prosthodontics, Maxillofacial Prosthetics, and Oral Implantology since 1975 and has worked as a general dentist and academician in various locations, including Flower’s Cove, NL, and the University of Toronto Dental School.

In his practice, Dr. Aras focuses on educating patients about maintaining their oral health, minimizing tooth loss, preventing bone loss, and improving masticatory function and aesthetics. In addition to general dentistry and oral surgery, he offers specialized procedures to replace missing teeth and restore optimal function and appearance.

Dr. Aras is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, American Dental Association, Turkish Dental Association, American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, and Turkish Association of Prosthodontics and Oral Implantology. He is also a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology and the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics.
