Parminder is an active member of the&nbsp;<strong>Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists (ACCT)<\/strong>, where she serves as the Director, Secretary, and Chair of the&nbsp;<strong>ACCT Equity Committee<\/strong>. She is a strong advocate for&nbsp;<strong>equity and inclusion<\/strong>, particularly for&nbsp;<strong>people of colour<\/strong>, and has played a vital role in shaping the Equity Committee within ACCT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At&nbsp;<strong>Healing Heart Counselling<\/strong>, my approach is rooted in empathy, offering a safe and non-judgmental space where you can share your challenges and be heard. My personal experience with therapy has taught me the importance of finding a counsellor who aligns with your&nbsp;<strong>cultural background<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>values<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>beliefs<\/strong>, and I aim to foster that connection with each client. Together, we will explore your struggles, identify your strengths, and develop the right tools for your healing journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I specialize in&nbsp;<strong>family systems therapy<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>intergenerational trauma<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>anxiety<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>relationship counselling<\/strong>, using techniques such as&nbsp;<strong>reflective processes<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Gestalt observation<\/strong>. My holistic approach ensures that our sessions are tailored to your individual needs, allowing you to move at your own pace toward emotional well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to my work, I offer counselling in both&nbsp;<strong>English<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Punjabi<\/strong>.
