At Shane Lynch Psychology<\/strong>, we offer comprehensive mental health services<\/strong> for individuals, including youth (ages 14+)<\/strong>, adults, and couples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Me:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With extensive experience in various settings, I have worked with youth, adults, and families through organizations such as Distress Centre Calgary<\/strong>, Beacon Community Services<\/strong> (Victoria, BC), Catholic Family Service<\/strong>, post-secondary mental health clinics<\/strong>, and the South Calgary Primary Care Network<\/strong>, as well as my private practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to individual and group therapy, I have developed and facilitated workshops on topics such as personality types<\/strong>, anxiety<\/strong>, and self-compassion<\/strong>. In 2014, I presented my research on self-compassion at the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association\u2019s National Conference<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 2015 to 2018, I created and led programming aimed at young fathers, focusing on primary prevention strategies for intimate partner violence<\/strong>. Additionally, from 2019 to 2021, I collaborated as part of an interdisciplinary team within the South Calgary Primary Care Network<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have transitioned from over seven years of part-time private practice to full-time, offering both in-person<\/strong> and virtual therapy sessions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How I Work:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustainable change in therapy relies on two key factors: the therapeutic relationship<\/strong> and the type of therapy<\/strong> we engage in. My approach incorporates various therapeutic modalities, including Psychodynamic Therapy<\/strong>, Interpersonal Process Therapy<\/strong>, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy<\/strong>, and Internal Family Systems Therapy<\/strong>. This flexibility allows us to tailor our work to your unique needs, ensuring a personalized experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awareness of our patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving is crucial for lasting change. Therefore, I provide practical strategies, such as mindfulness techniques<\/strong>, to help you apply what we discuss in therapy to your daily life, fostering improvements at home and work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
